Drawing by hand is at the core of what we do at the D. H. Ellison Co. and has been since before the wide availability of computer-aided drafting and design software. Simple pencil sketches have been the mainstay of the way we convey three-dimensional visions of our projects though modern times are quickly making hand sketches seem antique and obsolete to a demanding clientele used to instant visualization and photo-realistic depictions of the latest fantasy. Some of the sketches here were created to illustrate an architectural guide to building styles. Despite their archaic nature, we routinely provide sketches that help explain spatial relationships to owners and builders alike.
