The family who built this home wanted a traditionally-styled home that would provide modern living spaces and accommodations for guests and members of their extended family. Plenty of space for coats, boots and other gear is provided at the mudroom entrance with direct access to the basement. A powder room, laundry and the family’s dogs can be tended just steps away from the garage and kitchen.

The home is nestled into the woods on the top of a bluff overlooking the Chagrin River Valley. It incorporates native Ohio sandstone and red brick in its exterior and the landscaping walls and terraces. Toronto-based Virginia Burt worked with Architect David Ellison to create an integrated landscape design.
